About Laburnum Lodge

The Old School House and 'Lodge' circa 1940s

Set in the garden of the Old School House, built in 1872, the Lodge started life  originally (and don't let this put you off!) as the boys' and girls' loos. It then took on the role of log store and garden store before being converted into it's present, more comfortable state

Location and Nearby

We are situated in the heart of the village, within walking distance of the village pub and close to the market towns of Northallerton, Richmond, Thirsk and Bedale.

We're also within easy reach of the historic cities of Durham and York, the North Yorks Railway, both Heartbeat Country and James Herriot Country and, well, the general delights of North Yorkshire really.
